I am, who I am, at this moment. Nothing more, nothing less. Usually I'm ordinary, sometimes I soar, occasionally I do something great - like smile at a stranger. I'm mom, knitter, wife, lover, hater, sister, daughter, friend, dancer, person of power, oppressed, romancer, free and bound. As we all are, I am a nuanced creation living on a nuanced creation.

Last night our good friend Dan came over with cloves and beer and lots of laughs (as is his way). David and I had a lovely evening together (we didn't get to sleep till after 2). Then our day today started with fresh baked banana chocolate chip muffins, the making of paper lanterns and chains and snowflakes while listening to big band Christmas music and watching the girls dance around to the Nutcracker songs played big band style. Then off to the gym for a quick workout while the girls played. Now to get clean, have lunch and get our Christmas tree which we will decorate with our usual flourish. Tonight I get to see Aaron Strumpel and Todd Fadel and throw back a couple. *happy sigh.

Aliyah threw up right as we pulled up to David's work but didn't get out of the car in time (coloring in the car is a bad idea for her apparently). Always fun trying to clean up a puke covered kid and a puke covered car seat with those crispy public restroom paper towels.
After stripping the kid and covering her in David's sweatshirt and my shawl we went home, got everyone and everything cleaned up (I hate scrubbing auto upholstery, it's like it refuses to be cleaned or something). Now that the car seat cover is dry and the kids are fed it's time to go to the library for books for Shayel's geology project, grocery trip to get Tgiving ingredients, picking David up from a short work day then to the gym.Comments [0]
