Sometimes I just have to gush
Sometimes I just have to gush I have a good man who works hard at being a husband and father and while not perfect, is the best I could ever hope for. As we near the end of 2011, a difficult year in many ways, I am thankful for my amazing, wonderful and incredibly handsome husband, David.  via checkthis.com Posted via email from It’s...

People I Want to Punch in the Throat: Over...
Over Achieving Elf on the Shelf Mommies By now we have all heard of the adorable little Elf on the Shelf.  Almost everyone I know has one.  Some people even have two!  (Now I’m having guilt for not having two, because apparently I need two because when my kids are adults they’ll each want one from their childhood.  Ugh.  Not looking forward to that conversation with the Hubs when...

I did an around the world accent tour for my kids tonight. They found my Scottish, Welsh and French accents particularly hilarious. I also got the honor of being “funnier than daddy tonight”…high praise, let me tell you. Posted via email from It’s Stochastic! | Comment »

» Fauxgress Watch: “Born This Way” Social Justice...
We don’t need to justify ourselves to anyone. We don’t need a reason to be queer. Maybe we were born this way, maybe we weren’t. Maybe sexuality is fluid for some people and not for others. It’s totally irrelevant either way. The message we need to send to heterosexists is not that our sexuality was foisted upon us and that they should be “tolerant” and “understanding”. The message is: our...

Can positive thinking make you well?
read it here cnn.com Very interesting article. I especially liked these points: > The real point isn’t to rescue a dying patient but to maintain wellness. > Genes are dynamic, not fixed… there is no harm in assuming that your mind affects your genes, because there is abundant evidence to support this attitude.(knowing you have a genetic predisposition to something can set...
